Regina is officially a Young Women. She has been looking forward to this for over a year. To start the year off, we took Jennie and Regina to the temple to do proxy baptisms. It was such a great experience for all of us. An a silly note: Only Regina's head stuck out of the water when it was her turn. She is that short.
During Winter Break, Kyle was excited to do some Science experiments. His favorite is always mini volcanos.
On the last day of Winter Break, I took the kids to Wahooz Fun Center. They were so excited and spent five hours there without complaint. I was able to finish most of a book while they played lazer tag, bumper cars, rock climbing, and other games.
A goal this year is to have the kids especially the older ones learn how to cook real meals. I organized kid friendly recipes in a binder and on their dinner night, they get to help me cook a meal of their choosing. The first couple of times, the girls complained and Bruce turned it into a game. He got so involved in the game that he almost burnt every tortilla. Hopefully by Fall they'll be cooking on their own.
