First Day of School

 The Summer flew by quickly. We tried to fill it with lots of fun, but yesterday, it came to an end. School is back in session. All were excited for various reasons.

Jennie is looking forward to seeing her friends again and for the communication and podcasting classes that she signed up for.

Cody is looking forward to recess, free breakfast at school, and for the robot coding activities his teacher has prepared. 

Kyle is looking forward to everything that school has to offer.

Regina is excited to be in a new middle school, seeing her friends, and being able to chew gum in class.

Bruce isn't to sure about what he is excited for, but is ready to tell his classmates about our summer adventures.

 

To celebrate the first day, I was given permission to chalk the front of the school (Parkridge Elementary/Middle School)

It was fun to see the looks on people's faces when they pulled up to the school. 

This one made a great backdrop for pictures... something I didn't take advantage of.

Kyle's official first day was today however he didn't get to attend. A stomach bug took hold of him after the kids went to school and didn't let up until this afternoon. He was supper sad about it, but two days of movie watching with no siblings, made everything better.
