Halloween was very different this year. The kids caught a cold so we couldn't go trick or treating or even dress up. We did carve pumpkins. It was fun to see which kids didn't enjoy scraping out the guts.
Jennie went to a Young Woman's Activity while we carved the pumpkins. While there, she painted a pumpkin...she was very happy to paint instead of carving.
A couple of friends "booed" our house leaving some treats and this awesome count down to Halloween. The kids loved coloring part of it each day.
The great pumpkin did come to the house leaving a small present for each child...the candy had to wait until they were cold free.
We did have pizza for dinner and watched a Halloween movie--The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Actually we watched several movies throughout the month including our all time favorite, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.
Finally after we were all healthy, we got to have our other Halloween favorite--yellow cupcakes with orange frosting.
