September 2014 Kid Time

Life has become crazy since Jennie has started Kindergarten. We spend a lot of time getting ready to either dropping her off or picking her up from school. She is only in part time school, so by the time we get home from dropping her off, it is time to pick her up. We live too close to send her on the bus, so I get to transport her. Since parking at the school is HORRIBLE and the weather has been  nice, we walk her to and from school. (PS It also helps wear out the other kids)

However we have found some time to play.

The older kids are really in to being super heroes and wearing capes. So one night Daddy helped them make home made capes by tucking blankets into the back of their shirts. Now this is the only way Bruce likes to have a cape made out of his blanket, but can understand how come it doesn't work when he isn't wearing a shirt.

Cody enjoying a SeaHawks Football game with his dad. He is even dressed in the correct colors--not on purpose though.

Regina and Jennie having their first time experiencing scented markers. Now they want to use them all the time, so they can smell them. Even Bruce asks for them.

Meet our Little Ninjas. Recently, the older kids have gotten into dramatic play with Jennie leading the way. They love to imagine all kinds of adventures together. On this day, they started out as super heroes, but decided to be ninjas that like to sneak up on their mom and scare her. On other occasions, they have gone on bison sight-seeing trips, looked for monsters, and traveled in space with boxes as their helmets. It is never a dull day at our house.
