December Fun

Besides getting ready for Christmas, we have been busy having fun this December.

Bruce has really started to love anything to do with cars. He examines the wheels regularly and now is able to slide them across the kitchen floor while making a "vroom vroom" sound. However his favorite spot to store them lately is under the oven which he must find entertaining to see his very pregnant mom get them out.
Our store bought play-dough finally dried up so we got busy making some homemade kind. The girls loved picking out the colors and stirring the pot. But they really enjoyed playing with it. Above Regina is being an elephant--notice the ears and the trunk. Below Jennie made birds' nests with eggs.

Regina playing hide and go seek. This is a game we have been playing regularly. Bruce has even caught on to the rules of closing your eyes to count and to be quiet when it is your turn to hide. And he is an expert at finding his mom no matter where she is hiding.

Look closely: Bruce is covered in frosting, cookie crumbs, and sprinkles after decorating Christmas cookies for Family Home Evening one night. Can we say bath time?! He takes at least two a day based on the amount of food he has smashed into his hair.
