Christmas 2013

We had a mostly peaceful Christmas at home this year. First we put up all the decoration including lights outside the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It really made the house feel warm and cozy.

We kept some of our traditions alive including coffee cake and ready the book "Twas the Night Before Christmas," on Christmas Eve.
Notice how no one but Jennie really listened to the book---I just keep telling myself someday they will.

Then Christmas morning the kids woke up excited to open presents!

Jennie received a hair salon kit

Matthew got a new pillow--thanks to his mom.

Bruce received a tool box/mini-work bench.

Regina got more Lego Duplos.

After all the presents were opened and breakfast was survived, we all had a great time playing with the new presents.

FYI: The part about having a "mostly" peaceful Christmas was due to the fact Bruce split his lower lip and he and I got to spent an hour or so in the ER that morning. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as it first seemed, so he didn't need stitches and is healing very nicely now.
