To celebrate his first birthday, we spent the day doing some of his favorite things. We went to his favorite splash pad and had a picnic lunch.
For his birthday cake, we had a sponge cake with whipping cream and strawberries---Matthew calls it a large inverted twinkie with strawberries.
Bruce loved every bite of it.
It didn't take much time for Bruce to figure out how to open the presents.

Weight: Very Very Heavy (22 lbs 10 oz)
Height: He can now reach the kitchen table's edge (30 in)
He is a very fast crawler, furniture walks, and has taken a couple of steps.

Where has this year gone? I am in denial that kent also turns a year in a few weeks. It seems like yesterday we were both sweaty and pregnant. Glad we have cute boys this summer instead.
