We had several fun adventures this August.
Matthew set up a Gatorade bar so the kids could try the various flavors of Gatorade. The kids loved mixing them together.
We spent an afternoon playing at a splash pad before it gets turned off for the season.
I love it when the kids pick up books to read on their own. Kyle isn't reading on his own yet but he loves books.
The board games have made an appearance even some of the younger age ones.
Regina and her friend learned to see on snaps to fabric to make a dress for their stuffed bunnies.
Hot Chocolate with large marshmallows for dipping. We needed something to warm us up after swimming.
Regina used fondant for the first time. She made an emoji cake. She did a great job but we all decided that frosting tastes much better than fondant.
Ice Cream Potatoes! One of our favorite restaurant has these and we got them to celebrate our staycation week.
We went to the King Tut exhibit at the Discovery Center.
We took a day trip to Baker's City. While driving downtown, we noticed several African Animal Sculptures. I had to get a picture with this crocodile.

We went to the Oregon Trail interpretive center.
Kyle's favorite part was the model Stamper mill but was very disappointed when the real mill wouldn't turn on.
We had a movie night with theater popcorn and candy. The kids loved the movie we introduced them to, The Court Jester.
We went to the owyhee county rodeo. They had wild horse roping which was new for us to see.
The kids got to dig Lego pieces out of ice for a fun project. I thought it would take a lot of time but they were done in two minutes. Luckily they had the Legos to play with.
