Thanksgiving 2019

Because Jennie had her surgery the Monday before Thanksgiving, things just felt off this year...a little more stress than past years.
But looking back, her surgery seems to fit in with our Thanksgiving tradition of sickness or chaos happening around Thanksgiving time... usually it is a sick kid that foils our plans.

Cody needed to help with making the whipped cream. He loves to help me bake.

We decorated turkey masks. Cody saw these at the store and just knew they would make our Thanksgiving Day complete. He is such a fun kid to have around when going shopping.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We didn't have the traditional turkey dinner again this year. We ate ribs, but we did have turkey on the table... butter molded into a turkey. The kids thought it was hilarious.

After dinner, we watched movies and played a board game or two. And of course we ate lots and lots of pie.
