July 2017 Fun

With family reunions and birthdays, we still had room to add even more fun into our July.

 Bruce working on building a Robot with our pattern blocks--one of the many quiet activities we did this month.

 We made a visit to Great-grandma Hegerhorst. We always have a fun time visiting her.

 The girls got their first library cards--they love checking out their own books and a movie.

 We went to a small train museum and then went home and built our vintage train set for them to hear and see--it is very loud.

 We went to the Boise Mall to view the Legos Roadshow. It did not disappoint us. I actually took the kids a second time because we loved it so much.

 Lunch at the park and a picnic/pool party happened a few times. Once we dyed the water pink and green to make it more fun.

 One evening we made alka seltzer rockets. One rocket made it across the room into the plant. Next time we should do it outside.

 We planned a quick overnight camping trip with some sightseeing mixed in. We went to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Museum in Baker City.

 Then we drove to Sumpter and panned for gold and saw the Sumpter Dredge--a very large machine that would dig up the dirt to look for gold.

 We found a very nice restaurant for dinner in Unity Oregon before heading to our campsite for the night.

 The kids watched a movie in the cabin before bed--this is the best way to camp with our kids.

 Finally, we ended the month with taking a tour of our police station during its open house. The kids liked the last room--the garage full of cars, machines, and the K9 dogs best.
