Since Bruce's birthday was on a Sunday this year, he got to celebrate it for two days. On Saturday, we took him to the Wartime Museum to see the big planes. He had to dress up for the occasion. He loved looking at all of them and his favorite part was seeing the little planes hanging from the ceiling. Then we went to lunch at Jack in the Box but the real treat happened outside in restaurant. A large combine was harvesting in the field next door. Bruce was so fascinated with it that he fell out of his chair as he was trying to watch it.
Then on his actual birthday, we had a cookie decorating party per his request. This silly guy didn't want a cake. He insisted on airplane cookies that he could decorate. Next it was present time! He loved all the gifts he got and is looking forward to going to the store to buy more toys with his money.
It is hard to believe this guy is now four! A few things that I love about him:
He loves to play pretend.
He loves to play with Kyle---right now it is the up down game (kind of like peek-a-boo)
He likes to play with my hair
He loves to learn---he has started to break the reading code (Three letter words right now)
And He loves adventures!
