Busy October

This October just seems to pass by extra quickly. We were very busy with enjoying it. (Well for the most part)

At school, Jennie had a wacky hair day. This is what we came up with.--Notice Regina needed to participate as well.

I love this picture--Bruce and Regina watching Jennie play outside. (Before this, Regina had her arm around Bruce.) They love to play together. Notice no jackets--the weather has been unusually warm that they were still wearing shorts and sandals in the afternoon most days.

For a week, we had sick kids. Jennie was sick on her field trip day...It was soooo heart breaking to see her cry about not being able to ride the school bus to the pumpkin patch.

We did have some fun while they were sick. We discovered cranberries float and bounce!

Since Jennie was sick for her field trip, we made it a point to go to the pumpkin patch as a family---minus Daddy since he had to work EVERY Saturday in October.

Jennie found the perfect pumpkin!

And we even braved the RAIN to take a hay ride around the pumpkin patches. Bruce was soooo excited about the tractor. He loves anything with wheels.
Before the kids got sick, Regina and I went to a farm stand and bought four tiny pumpkins to paint, since we thought Jennie was going to bring home a carving pumpkin from her field trip.
The kids enjoyed painting them, and had to show everyone that came to our house their pumpkins. At times, they even had to tell our guest the process it took to paint the pumpkins--silly kids.
