Sacramento Trip, CA--The Zoo

On our second day in Sacramento, CA, we headed to the Zoo. The kids were in heaven! They loved looking at all the animals and playing at the playground.
Regina and Jennie looking at the flamingos. They were very noises and Jennie was very proud that she knew why they turned pink---because the food they eat.

At the Zoo, we got to ride on a train. Regina, Bruce, and I were in the caboose. While Matthew and Jennie we in a different car.

Jennie was very happy that the zoo had some kookaburras, so she could sing to them the song she learned at preschool. After she finished singing her song, the kookaburras actually make their "laughing" sounds.

Matthew took the girls on the carousel at the zoo. Regina loved riding it and would "princess" wave to me every time she came around. At the beginning Jennie didn't like it because she was up too high. But after Matthew held her tight, she was better.

And of course, when we go to California, we have to eat at our favorite place.
