We decided not to bother putting up our big tree this year for two reasons. First, Regina--the climber--would always be in it, and second, we are getting ready to move. So our little tree was perfect. We decorated it with star shaped buttons, felt snowflakes, and pipe cleaner candy canes.
Christmas Eve, Matthew read T'was the Night Before Christmas, to the kids for their bedtime story. And for the entire month our Project Time has been focused around the Nativity or as the girls say "Baby Jesus."
On Christmas Day, the girls were very excited for presents. This was the first year that Regina dug right into opening presents without any prompting. Jennie was especially excited to be wearing her penguin pajamas and that we cleaned up the house so Santa didn't trip. (We told her the night before that the house had to be cleaned so Santa wouldn't trip or else he wouldn't leave any presents.) Bruce loved getting his tow truck from Daddy and his special bear from Grandparents. Matthew received the Indian Jones Movies on Blu-Ray and I got a pressure cooker from my parents.

That is quite the fancy pressure cooker! I'd like to know how you like it after you try it.
